Ategra can source and supply all our customers hardware and software needs. We supply the “best of breed” products at very competitive rates. All server and Desktop products are “tier one” Microsoft, Compaq, IBM or HP. We specialise in Internet security, Microsoft operating systems / applications / Small Business Server, Cisco Routers, Backup and Antivirus solutions with the best available products.

HP Servers Workstations & Notebooks

We can source and supply an enormous range of quality Desktop PC's, Notebooks and Servers. Our preference is to only provide "tier one" products. These are predominantly Compaq or HP.

Through years of dealing with every brand and variation imaginable, we have found these brands to be consistently more reliable and have the after sales support we and our clients require. In addition, as technology marches on, there is generally excellent support in terms of software, drivers and patches.

Routers / Firewalls

There are many brands and flavours of routers available today. We recommend Cisco for routers and firewalls. Most of our remote support is via Cisco based VPN tunnels.

They are extremely configurable and what we like to call "industrial strength". In some sites we have taken over and put these devices in, we have been able to trap outbound traffic being sent from inside the network to "suspect sites" by Spyware. This allows us to troubleshoot and resolve such issues.

We have built up our own scripts for these routers which are designed to ensure an extremely high level of security.

Printers

We can source many brands of printer both colour and B&W. Our strong preference is the HP brand for all printing needs.

We have been selling, installing and supporting HP printers for over ten years. They are reliable and have a strong support channel in HP. We believe HP to be the best overall printer manufacturer in the market.

Microsoft Small Business Server

One of the best products to have come from Microsoft in recent years is the Small Business Server option. We use it internally have have built up a huge depth of knowledge in the product.

It is feature rich and ideal for the SME market. It includes:

	Microsoft Server - File and print access as well as security
	Exchange - Email and calendaring and remote access for email
	ISA - Internet Firewalling and caching

Terminal Server

One of the new technologies makes use of thin client technology. We have many clients using this technology connecting remote office and home users to their central systems.

The benefits are:

	Full access to all network resources - email, files and programs - from practically anywhere
	Allows centralised access to applications and files for all users. Lower cost of ownership as there is less need to upgrade desktops
	Lower management cost - rather than having to update all desktops on a network, you can easily move to the latest software by upgrading the terminal server.
	Will run on "old" equipment with just a Windows operating system
